Estepona Marina - Marina Berths / Moorings
welcome to Puerto De Estepona MarinaSmaller than its eastern neighbour Puerto Banús, Puerto Deportivo Marina del Mediterráneo, in Estepona, nevertheless offers a good and sheltered alternative for those looking for an economical home port with a family atmosphere. Entrance is easy except in S/SW gales and there is a variety of yacht service companies including sail- maker, electronics repair, life raft service, brokerage and chandler. Access to pontoons is by means of a magnetic card. The port has a number of restaurants and bars, together with a supermarket, tobacconist and newsagent. There is also a yacht club open to non-members. Fresh fish is auctioned on the eastern quay in the early morning and there is a “Rastro” (flea-market) on Sunday mornings. There is a taxi rank by the control tower and a fresh food market in the quaint old town 1/2 m away, where many good shops and restaurants are to be found. Visitors who arrive late sometimes decide to stay on the waiting quay opposite where the fishing boats tie up, but this is not a good place to spend the night as the fishing fleet (over 100 boats!) leaves very early in the morning. Mooring is possible near the port, but beware of underwater sewage outlets. MARINA FEATURES
